The second-ever Austadiums Awards are open for business, with voting now open in the Austadiums 2019 Stadium Awards. Fans have the opportunity to vote for Australia’s best sports stadium across seven categories and Australia’s best stadium overall.
Voting opened on Monday, 16th December, and will remain open until midday on Friday, December 27. Updates will be posted on the Austadiums website and social media channels across the voting period and the final winners will be announced shortly following the cut-off date.
The Melbourne Cricket Ground was awarded the best stadium in Australia in the inaugural Austadiums awards last year and Australia’s biggest stadium will be vying to go back-to-back, but it has plenty of competition with Optus Stadium and the new Bankwest Stadium, among others, eager to win the public vote.
As well as Australia’s best sports stadium overall, fans also have the chance to vote on Australia’s best cricket stadium, AFL and NRL stadiums, the best major and rectangular stadium, as well as Australia’s best regional stadium and best indoor arena.
To enter, fans simply need to fill out the online voting form – it only takes a few minutes to complete. The process has been improved this year, with the entry form containing popular options, and you can vote for any other stadium of your choice, while only the best overall stadium question is mandatory, while the minor categories are all optional to complete. Fans may only vote once for your entry to be valid and multiple entries will be removed from the final results.
