FAQs
Do I need SportsPress?
Yes. PlayHQ Sync imports data into the free SportsPress plugin for WordPress. SportsPress provides the fixtures, results, ladders and team management, while PlayHQ Sync keeps that information up to date directly from PlayHQ.
Which sports are supported?
PlayHQ Sync currently supports Australian football (AFL) only. Please get in touch with us if your cricket club or other sports club is interested.
Which PlayHQ competitions are supported?
PlayHQ Sync works with any AFL competition available through the PlayHQ API. If your competition is available in PlayHQ, it can generally be imported into SportsPress.
Can I import previous seasons?
Yes. Previous season imports are available with Pro and Premium plans.
How often can data be synchronised?
This depends on your plan. Starter supports manual imports for fixtures only, while Pro and Premium include automatic synchronisation for fixtures, results and ladders, with Premium offering more advanced scheduling options.
Will it overwrite my existing SportsPress data?
No. You have control over what is imported and synchronised. Existing data is preserved unless you choose to update it.
Do I need coding experience?
Not at all. PlayHQ Sync has been designed so club administrators with basic WordPress experience can configure it through a simple WordPress interface.
What happens if my subscription expires?
Your existing imported data remains on your website. Paid synchronisation features, software updates and support are no longer available until your subscription is renewed.
How many websites can I activate my licence on?
Each licence includes one website activation unless otherwise specified. If you’re moving your website to a new domain or server, simply deactivate the licence first, or contact us if you need assistance.
What support is included?
All paid licences include email support, with the premium plan offering priority support. We also offer a support page for all customers.
How do software updates work?
While your licence includes update entitlement, you can download the latest version from your CV Media account and receive ongoing improvements, compatibility updates and bug fixes. Automatic updates will be introduced in a future release.
How long does setup take?
Depending on how many teams you have, most clubs can install and configure PlayHQ Sync in 30-60 minutes. Once configured, your fixtures, results and ladders can be kept up to date automatically, significantly reducing the time spent maintaining your website.
